Kharkiv Metro

Kharkiv Metro secured continuous power and heating for stations, tunnels, signaling, and emergency systems by installing seven modular cogeneration units, delivering a resilient on-site electricity supply with optional heat recovery.

PROJECT DETAILS

7 units

Seven 2.3 MW gas-powered CHP units supply on-site electricity and heat for stations, tunnels, control centers, lighting, ventilation, signaling, and emergency systems, with heat available on demand for seasonal facility heating.

With 16.1 MW total capacity, the decentralized system ensures reliable, grid-independent metro operations, stabilizes critical safety and HVAC loads, and strengthens resilience in any conditions.
